“Is Google + a Facebook Killer?” That’s the question I got today whilst grabbing a coffee. The guy behind me was peering over my shoulder (Creepy) and saw me on Google + so he thought he would ask me what I thought.
Well I can’t say that I think it will be since it’s really nothing like Facebook. It’s something a little different than anything else around right now. It actually may be more of a “Twitter Killer” than anything else. Don’t get me wrong I love Twitter and use it daily and get a ton of traffic from Twitter so I’m not complaining.
However when you look at how Twitter is getting filled with fake accounts and useless post about nothing, and trending topics like the following:

#undateable
Toddlers & Tiaras Phineas & Ferb
I Kid you not right now at 10:32 PM Wed Aug 3 that’s what’s trending…. WTF! I like Phineas & Ferb but I just don’t understand why it’s trending. Actually I do understand why it’s trending. The user base on Twitter is getting younger and younger so the trending topics are following their interest. Can you say “The Beebs”
So back to what I was orginally saying. Here are some of the ways I’m using Google Plus and how I will be using it in the future.
1) Creating Circles: I can now group my friends & followers in a way that I really couldn’t interact with on Twitter. Now I can target friends or fans with different messages just by dragging content to that “Circle” So if I want to pass a link to my Social Media Buds I can without boring my actual friends.
2) +1: +1 is Google’s version of the “Like” button. Do you get that? It’s just like the ” Like” button! +1 will become a factor into Google’s search algorithm. So make sure to add it to all your sites.
3) Business Profiles: Google+ announced that business profiles. Can’t wait until this feature goes live so I’m planing on using it.

Super SEO. Post on Google+ and your circles Google your subject your comments and links are displayed automatically or should I say Automagiclly on Google’s page one. Yes actually on page one!
No on-site optimization or back-linking or White Hat, Black Hat or any other traffic driving hacks are needed. you just get a boat load of free traffic.
